Miracle Non-Drug

Improves Everything

Almost every body process is improved by exercise. You get stronger, faster, and have more energy. Exercise also helps control extra weight, which can be a problem for many of us. Your heart gets healthier, and your mind is more agile. Almost every disease process is slowed by exercise. Exercise even improves your cholesterol levels, makes you happy, and manages stress. If exercise were a drug, it’s so powerful, it would be illegal. During the pandemic, it was hard to stay active. Now is the time to commit to scheduled exercise, not spare-time exercise.

No Downside, Guaranteed

We were not made to sit on our duffs. Our amazing bodies were meant to move every day. Moderate exercise has no downside---none at all. Only severe levels of training have any potential negative effects. Almost none of us gets that much exercise.

2 Types of Exercises

There are 2 kinds of exercise: cardio and non-cardio. Cardio (or aerobic) exercise is an exercise that raises your heart rate but only to a level that you can do for a long time. This type of exercise takes time. There is no 5-minute cardio workout. Your heart takes almost 20 minutes to get into training mode. Once you have kept your heart rate up for 20 minutes, you start to see some benefits in the form of a stronger heart and better circulation. Non-cardio exercise is mainly for building muscle.

What Cardio Does

Stronger Heart

The heart is a muscle, and like any muscle, it needs training to get and stay strong. When your heart has to pump more blood for a long time, it starts to make adjustments. It becomes tuned for circulating blood more efficiently.

Brain Booster

Also, because your blood is moving faster and has lots of oxygen, your brain is sharper right after you exercise. You feel more alert. When you exercise, your brain also releases chemicals that improve your mood. The brain also uses regular exercise to boost certain brain functions. The one area of the brain that can build new cells (the hippocampus) does this when oxygen floods the brain after exercise.

Brain Protector

Exercise helps you remember and learn new things, and it also protects against dementia. It can reduce the risk of dementia in high-risk groups by a third. A healthy lifestyle can offset an increased hereditary risk.

Joint Feeder

Your joints also benefit from exercise as joint cartilage has no blood supply. They take in nutrients only when they are moved. Immobile joints are starved for nutrients. Your body hates being in a fixed position.

24-Hour Benefits

Even your skin benefits from exercise. The increased circulation makes your skin younger. Although your liver and kidney filter out the vast majority of toxins, you do sweat a few out. And exercise can help you in the bedroom. Improved circulation enhances bedroom activities. Exercise even helps when you’re not awake. A workout makes your body tired so your body and mind can rest.

Gut Farm Benefits

Recently, there has been evidence that exercise improves your gut farm. The studies so far have been done on mice, but they show that exercise raises the number of good bacteria in the gut.

HIIT

If you really want a boost, take a HIIT of intense exercise. HIIT is high-intensity interval training. During a HIIT session, you work as fast and as hard as you can for 30 seconds and then take a 60-second break before hitting it at 100% again. One variation of HIIT is the 7-minute workout. The 7-minute workout takes only 7 minutes from beginning to end. Who can’t fit in 7 minutes twice a week? To see a video showing the 7-minute workout, go to this link: panaceamag.com/7mins.

Canadian 5BX

In the 1950s, the Royal Canadian Air Force developed a workout called 5BX, which stands for 5 basic exercises. It’s the original HIIT program. The 5 basic exercises are touching your toes for stretching, sit-ups, push-ups, face down leg raises, and running in place. Today, we don’t recommend sit-ups as they can harm your back. A good substitute is to hold a plank—the ‘up’ position of a push-up—on either your toes or knees. The late Prince Philip did 5BX.
