Born in Vienna in 1914, she began acting in Czechoslovakia. She later moved to Hollywood and became a big star, famous for her portrayal of Delilah, and was called “the most beautiful woman in films.” In 1941, she invented a top-secret radio technology for national defense. This technology later helped create cell phones and WiFi Internet. Hedy Lamarr had brains to match her beauty. For her invention, she was inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame.
